The story
The business need
Small and medium businesses needed accounting, inventory management and payroll in one place, with reporting they could trust and compliance they didn't have to think about.
The build
A React and Redux frontend on a Node.js and MySQL backend, spanning invoicing, inventory, payroll and reporting across more than 40 API domains. QuickBooks keeps books in sync and Plaid links customers' bank accounts.
Quality
In finance software a bug is a wrong number. Secure, well-documented code and stronger sprint planning and code review practices cut production bug reports by 30% and made financial audits easier.
What made it hard
